This Risk Disclosure forms part of the ScripTrade Terms of Service. Read it carefully before using the Platform and before running any Expert Advisor on a live trading account.
1. ScripTrade is a tool, not an adviser
ScripTrade generates software from user instructions. It does not provide investment advice, recommendations, trading signals, suitability assessments, or portfolio management. Examples, templates, interface suggestions, and educational material are not personalized advice or an invitation to invest.
2. Trading involves a high risk of loss
Foreign exchange, CFDs, and other leveraged products are high risk and are not suitable for everyone. Leverage amplifies gains and losses. Market gaps, volatility, and liquidation rules can cause rapid losses and may create liabilities beyond the initial deposit where the account terms allow it.
3. Past performance does not predict future results
Results from live trading, demo accounts, simulations, or backtests are not a guarantee or reliable indication of future performance. Backtests may contain bias, omit costs, or use assumptions that cannot be reproduced in live markets.
4. Automation-specific risks
Expert Advisors introduce risks in addition to manual trading, including:
- errors, omissions, or ambiguity in strategy logic;
- unexpected behavior during gaps, illiquidity, volatility, or macroeconomic events;
- differences between backtests and live execution caused by slippage, spread, requotes, latency, and broker rules;
- connectivity failures or faults in a VPS, terminal, data feed, or broker system;
- continuous unsupervised execution that can quickly amplify an error.
You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, configuring, monitoring, and stopping each Expert Advisor. Use a demo account for an adequate period and apply appropriate controls, including position limits, stop losses, exposure limits, and drawdown protection.
5. Limits of AI-generated code
Automated validation and correction reduce risk but cannot guarantee complete, secure, or suitable code. Generated output may misunderstand instructions, omit edge cases, or behave differently after platform, broker, or market changes. Human review and the final decision to deploy remain your responsibility.
6. Regulation and suitability
ScripTrade is not authorized as an investment-services provider because it supplies a software-generation tool rather than investment advice or execution. Confirm that your activity, instruments, broker, and automation are lawful in your jurisdiction. Seek advice from an independent, authorized professional if you are unsure whether trading is suitable for you.
7. Acceptance of risk
By using ScripTrade or generated code, you acknowledge the risks described here and accept responsibility for each deployment and trading decision. This acknowledgment does not waive any right that cannot legally be waived.
